Vacation Notice Module

You are going on vacation and want to inform your clients, this is your module.

This module for Prestashop creates a notice of your holiday message in your Prestashop store. The module is adapted for correct viewing on both large screens and mobile devices. It will be displayed at the top of all sections.

This document will show the capacities and configuration methods of the module, as well as a series of recommendations to take into account.

What does the module provide?

Installation

The procedure is simple, and you only need the compressed file of the module.
Even so, it is necessary to meet some minimum requirements to guarantee the functioning of the module:

• For Prestashop version 1.6
• For Prestashop version 1.7
• For Prestashop version 8
• Administrator permissions.

To start the installation, go to "Modules and Services" and look for a button called "Add new module" on the top right. Click on it and a tab will open just below it with a "Choose a file" button on the right. Click on this and a file explorer will open, where you will have to look for the compressed file of the module. When you have found it, select it, and click "Open". Finally, click on "Upload this module", to carry out the installation.

Settings

Once the module is installed, the options section will appear structured by three tabs. From them you can configure:

1. Info

In this section you can configure the basic aspects of the vacation notice.

Show vacation message
Allows you to activate or deactivate the message. If you disable it, it will not be shown.

Start date and end date
Establish a period of time during which to display the message by marking the start and end date.

Holiday message
Customizable text that will be displayed in the notice.

2. Banner

This section allows you to customize the appearance with which the warning banner will be displayed.

Show image
Determines whether or not a background image will be displayed on the banner.

Background Color
Sets a background color for the banner. If there is no background image, the selected color will be used.

Text Color
Sets the color in which the text will be displayed.

Banner image
If you have determined that an image will be displayed, select a file to be used as a background.

Banner link
Enter a URL to redirect when clicking on the banner. If no link is put, it redirects to the home page by default.

3. Extras

Show the message in your shopping basket
If activated, it will also show the holiday notice in the shopping basket.

Send email with the holiday message
Notifies new orders by email with the holiday message during the holiday period.

Deactivate orders in the shopping basket
If activated, it allows you to deactivate orders in the shopping basket during your holiday period.
